In 2017, something bad happened to my hair at a salon. I walked away with stiff, brittle, fragile, completely overloaded hair, I knew there had to be a better way. I stopped going to hair salons and using random products and information from the internet for my curly hair.


After that, I saw some people on the internet with curly hair that I thought was pretty. They inspired me to do something about my own hair. I did my own research and experiments to learn how to take care of my hair.


I hyper focused on my hair for many months, learning about my hair, what it needs to be healthy, and how to make my own hair care routine. Finally, I learned how to make my hair look nice and easy to manage. When I shared my story, it made me feel better about myself. I realized that not knowing how to take care of my hair was making me feel bad about myself.


This made everything else in my life hard too. I used to struggle with my curly hair, but when I learned to take care of it, everything else in my life got better too. Curly hair is so funny like that. I also realized that many people like me didn’t know how to take care of their curly hair.

Hi! I’m Elizabeth – a curly hair stylist in Doha; voted NaturallyCurly Best Curly Hair Blogger 2020. I started my blog, Instagram, and YouTube in 2017 to share my personal curly hair journey with like-minded women and quickly realized there was no other place for them to get real guidance that was specific for their unique hair texture, and lifestyle.
